Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at Lily Read Jewellery. We want you to be happy with your purchase, and we comply fully with Danish and EU consumer protection laws.

Items - not workshop related:

Returns - stock only. Does not apply to made-to-order or bespoke.

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days from the day you receive your item to notify us that you’d like to return it. You do not need to give a reason for returning an item during this period.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it — unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, please contact us at lilyreadjewellery@gmail.com. We’ll then email you to confirm your return along with further instructions. Please wait for this confirmation before sending anything back — returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

You can choose to return the item using:

  • A shipping method of your choice, at your own expense.

If you have any questions about returns, feel free to contact us at the same email.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item. We’ll do our best to resolve the issue quickly.

Exceptions / Non-returnable Items

Some types of items cannot be returned, including:

  • Custom-made or bespoke products (e.g. personalised items)
  • Final Sale items
  • SmykkeWorkshops
  • Gift cards
  • Items marked "made-to-order"
  • If you're unsure whether your item qualifies for return, feel free to get in touch.

Note: Discounted or sale items can be returned under the 14-day right of withdrawal, unless otherwise stated and as long as they meet the usual return conditions.

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the item you have and make a separate purchase for the new item once your return has been accepted.

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is being shipped within the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason and without a justification. The item must be returned in its original condition — unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging — along with proof of purchase.

Refunds

We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund has been approved.

If approved, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days, minus the cost of return postage (if you used our return label).

We will also refund the original standard shipping fee you paid at checkout. Please note that additional fees for express or non-standard shipping options are non-refundable.

Please be aware that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

SmykkeWorkshop Terms & Conditions: Wax Carving

Terminology

Workshop: The specific workshop purchased (e.g., wax carving or jewellery making).
Participant: The individual registering for and attending the workshop.
Experience Manager: Lily Read Jewellery.

Booking Process & Payments

Age Requirement:
Workshops are available only to individuals aged 18 and over due to the use of sharp tools.
Individual & Group Bookings:
Workshops are open to individuals. For group bookings of three or more, private sessions can be arranged by emailing lilyreadjewellery@gmail.com.
Capacity:
Public workshops accommodate up to 8 participants. Private workshops can be arranged at your chosen location for larger groups.
Non-Transferable Content:
Each booking applies solely to the workshop purchased. It cannot be exchanged for another workshop type or date.
Booking Confirmation:
Your booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received. A confirmation email will follow automatically. All spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
No Right of Withdrawal (Fortrydelsesret):
Workshops take place on a specific date and are therefore exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal under Forbrugeraftaleloven §18, stk. 2, nr. 12.

By completing your purchase, you accept that your booking is binding and non-refundable.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Public Workshops - Participant-Initiated

More than 7 days before the workshop:
Bookings are non-refundable but may be rebooked to a future date on request.
Less than 7 days before the workshop:
Cancellations are not permitted. Rebooking may be offered at the discretion of the Experience Manager.
On the day (illness or unforeseen circumstances):
Please contact the Experience Manager using the details in your confirmation email. You may transfer your booking to another person, provided their contact information is supplied before the workshop begins.

Private Bookings - Non-Refundable

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Once confirmed, the booking is non-refundable and binding.
  • Rescheduling may be possible by agreement; any additional costs (e.g., materials, travel) are paid by the client.
  • In the event of illness or other unforeseen circumstances on the day, please contact us immediately. Rescheduling may be considered at our discretion.

Weather Conditions
Safety is the highest priority. If weather conditions make it unsafe or impractical to run the workshop, the Experience Manager will contact you to arrange a new date.

Cancellations by the Experience Manager:

  • The Experience Manager will make every effort to run the workshop as scheduled. If cancellation is necessary due to illness, unsafe travel conditions, or unforeseen events, participants will be notified by phone/SMS and then by email.
  • If a workshop must be cancelled due to low registrations or planning issues, participants will be notified at least 3 days before the scheduled date.
  • If no suitable alternative date is available, participants are entitled to a full refund of the workshop fee.

Force Majeure:
Neither Lily Read Jewellery nor the participant is liable for non-performance or cancellation caused by events outside reasonable control, including pandemics, natural disasters, or similar unforeseen circumstances.
